Philadelphia, PA – Man Injured in Serious House Fire on N Orkney St

Philadelphia, PA (January 7, 2022) – Around 3:16 a.m. on Friday, January 7, a man was injured in a house fire in Philadelphia.

Philadelphia officials confirmed that a fire broke out in a home at 2400 North Orkney Street in the Fairhill neighborhood. When crews arrived at the scene, they found that heavy smoke was pouring out of the home. They were able to get the fire completely under control and ensured that everybody was out of the home.

Numerous responders, including paramedics and the Philadelphia Fire Department, quickly responded to the scene to help those in need. A 40-year-old man inside the home was rescued. He was taken to a local hospital for treatment of smoke inhalation injuries.
