Philadelphia, PA (February 18, 2022) – At 1 a.m. on Friday morning, February 18, a man was killed in a fatal pedestrian accident in Philadelphia.
According to Philadelphia Police, the accident happened at the intersection of North Broad Street and West Hunting Park Avenue. A driver was traveling in the area when they entered the intersection and struck two pedestrians in the area. It is believed that the driver of the vehicle that struck them remained at the scene.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. The 36-year-old male pedestrian was tragically pronounced dead at the scene. The 33-year-old female pedestrian was taken to the hospital for treatment of injuries to her leg.
Due to the severity of the accident, the roadway was blocked at the intersection for some time.
