Scott T. Taggart, Esq.
Scott T. Taggart is a partner and trial attorney with the firm who is admitted to practice in both the state and federal courts of Pennsylvania and New Jersey. He has practiced law in the area for over twenty years. During that time, Mr. Taggart has concentrated his practice on representing people who were killed or suffered serious injury as the result of trauma, caused by negligent action or inaction.
Initially, Mr. Taggart became fascinated by the law when he recognized that it connects the past with the present, while continuously evolving. Later, he recognized that the law, especially the right to a jury trial, acted as a great leveler. If applied properly, a citizen and a large corporation are equal and, as such, entitled to fairness under the law. With this recognition, he concentrated his academic journey on courses that he felt would best prepare him for a career as an attorney. With a strong desire to help people who are going through a rough time in their lives, Mr. Taggart felt that he could best accomplish this goal by representing people who have suffered life-altering injury, which can have a devastating impact on all aspects of a person’s life.
Since graduating from law school, Mr. Taggart has concentrated his practice almost exclusively on personal injury litigation. During that time, he has secured for his clients over $100 million dollars in verdicts and settlements. As a result, Mr. Taggart is widely recognized as an aggressive, inventive and skilled advocate on behalf of clients. His verdicts and settlements are often noted in legal publications, as well as other media. Although Mr. Taggart is a trial attorney with the firm, he is involved in every aspect of litigation. While not on trial, he attends depositions, arbitration, mediations, hearings and conferences. He also helps manage the other aspects of the firm’s cases, including investigations, medical treatment and expert witnesses. Equally as important, Mr. Taggart remains in routine contact with clients so they feel comfortable and aware of the progress in their case. Mr. Taggart has also sat as a Judge Pro Tempore and arbitrator for the court.
Mr. Taggart was born and raised in Philadelphia. He attended Archbishop Ryan High School, Holy Family University and Syracuse University College of Law. He currently lives in Mullica Hill, New Jersey. During his free time, Mr. Taggart enjoys spending time with his wife (Lisa) and two daughters (Ella & Ali), playing guitar, muay thai, exercising and home improvement.
