Pedestrian Accidents in Pennsylvania

Pedestrians have no protection from harm in an accident, which means that they are prone to severe and even fatal injuries. In 2020, it was estimated that approximately 145 pedestrians were killed in fatal accidents within the state of Pennsylvania. This means that Pennsylvania ranks 15th highest in the U.S. for pedestrian fatalities. It is never easy for a family to face the loss of a loved one whose life has been taken prematurely in a pedestrian accident. Unfortunately, this is the reality that far too many families face every year. Drivers are expected to pay close attention to the roads around them. However, this does not always happen and tragic results can occur in the blink of an eye.
