Chesterfield Township, NJ (August 11, 2024) – Around 8:30 p.m. on Saturday evening, August 10, several 911 calls were received reporting a crash involving multiple vehicles and entrapment near milepost 56.3 on the southbound outer lanes of the New Jersey Turnpike.
The incident occurred about 2.5 miles north of Exit 7 and four miles southbound of Exit 7A, per authorities. Troopers with the New Jersey State Police, firefighters from Bordentown Township and Robbinsville, paramedics, and several BLS ambulances were dispatched to the scene. According to radio reports, six patients were transported to local hospitals for treatment. Police, fire, and EMS were on the scene for about an hour until the debris was cleared up.
