Pedestrian Accident Deaths in Pennsylvania
Compared to drivers, pedestrians face a far higher risk of serious injury or death on U.S. streets and sidewalks. Philly and Pitty are two excellent case studies in this respect. Greater foot traffic in cities and other densely populated areas in the Commonwealth makes them more vulnerable to similar incidents. Over 130 pedestrians were killed by cars in Pennsylvania in 2020, according to official estimates and traffic experts.
