Middletown Township, NJ (April 1, 2022) – Around 10:30 a.m. on the morning of Friday, April 1, a woman was injured in a pedestrian crash in Middletown Township.
According to local officials, the accident happened at 1417 NJ-35 around the area of Harmony Avenue. A pedestrian woman was walking in the area when she started to cross the street. At the same time, she was struck by a passenger vehicle that was traveling through the area. The driver of the vehicle, identified as a 25-year-old man from Oceanport, stayed at the scene of the crash to cooperate with police.
Paramedics, fire crews, and several other local responders were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those in need. The pedestrian, who has since been identified as a 69-year-old woman from Rumson, was rushed to Hackensack Meridian Healthcare Riverview Medical Center for treatment. She is expected to fully recover.
Due to the severity of the accident, a portion of the roadway was blocked in the area for a period of time.
