Newark, NJ (June 6, 2024) – Officials reported that the driver of a Honda Fit and a motorcyclist collided at a Newark intersection on Tuesday, June 4, resulting in the death of the motorcyclist.
According to a joint statement issued by the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office and the Newark Police Department, the collision occurred at the intersection of Broadway Street and Oriental Street at approximately 5:00 p.m. The motorcyclist, a 29-year-old Newark man, was transported to a nearby medical facility and was declared deceased at around 5:45 p.m. on Wednesday, per the latest reports from both agencies.
