Oreland, PA (February 6, 2022) – On Sunday morning, February 6, a man was killed in a fatal pedestrian crash in Oreland.
According to Philadelphia officials, the accident happened on State Road around the area of Golf Road. An adult male was walking in the area near the intersection when he was suddenly struck by a passenger vehicle in the area. It is believed that the driver of the vehicle stopped and remained at the scene.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other local responders were immediately dispatched to the scene. The male pedestrian, who has not yet been formally identified, was pronounced dead at the scene. Nobody else was injured in the collision.
The roadway was blocked in several lanes as police worked to clear the scene. Police said that the driver has not yet been charged for her role in the accident.
No further details have been released but the investigation continues.
