Philadelphia, PA (February 26, 2022) – Injuries were reported in a car crash that took place on a major roadway in Philadelphia on Saturday evening, February 26.
Philadelphia officials confirmed that the crash happened around 6:35 p.m. in the westbound lanes of the Vine Street Expressway around the area of I-95. Several vehicles were traveling in the area when one or more lost control, causing them to forcefully collide with each other. The vehicles involved in the accident were badly damaged as a result of the accident.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those with injuries. One or more victims sustained injuries as a result of the accident. The injured parties were taken to local hospitals for treatment of their injuries. Their identities and conditions are not known at this time.
Due to the severity of the accident, the roadway was blocked in the area for some time. Police quickly worked to clear the scene.
