Philadelphia, PA (May 7, 2022) – Emergency crews were dispatched to the scene of a motor vehicle accident in the Navy Yard section of Philadelphia that left at least one person injured. Just after 5 p.m., on May 6, the Philadelphia police and firefighters were called to the scene of a motor vehicle accident on Interstate 95.
Reports provided by the Philadelphia police show that a collision between vehicles blocked the northbound side of Interstate 95 during the evening hours. The incident resulted in moderate delays in the area as crews worked to remove a black sedan and an unknown number of additional vehicles from the roadway that had been involved in a collision.
Emergency medical services responded to the scene to provide medical care to people who suffered injuries as a result of the accident. Those in need of further care were transported to area hospitals.
The crash is under investigation at this time by the Philadelphia Police Department.
