Philadelphia, PA (March 27, 2022) – Injuries were reported in a car crash that took place on a highway in Philadelphia. On Saturday afternoon, March 26.
According to police, the collision happened around 3:11 p.m. in the southbound lanes of I-476 around the area of Route 1. Several vehicles were traveling in the area when one or more lost control, causing the vehicles to forcefully collide with one another. The vehicles involved in the accident were badly damaged and had to be towed from the scene.
Several responders, including paramedics and fire crews, were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims sustained serious injuries as a result of the collision. The injured parties were taken to local hospitals for treatment, though their identities and conditions are not yet known.
Due to the severity of the collision, the roadway was blocked in several lanes. Police quickly worked to clear the scene.
