Philadelphia, PA (January 29, 2022) – Police responded to the scene of an injury accident that happened on a major highway in Philadelphia on Saturday afternoon, January 29.
Philadelphia Police confirmed that the accident happened around 1:28 p.m. in the northbound lanes of I-95 near exit 30, Cottman Avenue and Rhawn Street. Two or more vehicles were traveling on the highway in the area when they collided with each other due to reasons that are not fully known. The involved vehicles sustained heavy damages and had to be towed from the scene.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were dispatched to the scene to help those with injuries. One or more victims sustained injuries due to the collision. The injured parties were hospitalized, though their conditions are not yet known.
Due to the severity of the collision, a large portion of the roadway was blocked in the northbound lanes.
