Philadelphia, PA (April 18, 2022) – At 12:20 p.m. on the afternoon of Monday, April 18, a multi-vehicle collision with injuries took place in Philadelphia.
According to Philadelphia Police, the accident happened in the westbound lanes of I-676 around the area of Broad Street. Several vehicles were traveling in the area when they collided with each other due to reasons that are not yet known. The vehicles involved in the accident were badly damaged as a result.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims sustained injuries as a result of the accident. The injured parties were taken to local hospitals for treatment of their injuries. Their conditions are not known at this time.
The road was blocked in the area of the accident for an extended period of time. Police quickly worked to clear the scene.
