Philadelphia, PA (April 11, 2022) – At 9:40 p.m. on the night of Monday, April 11, a multi-vehicle collision took place on a highway in Philadelphia.
According to Philadelphia Police, the accident happened in the eastbound lanes of I-76 around the area of Montgomery Drive. Several vehicles were traveling in the area when one or more lost control, causing the vehicles to collide with one another. The vehicles involved in the accident were badly damaged as a result.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims sustained injuries in the accident. The injured parties were taken to local hospitals for treatment, though their conditions are not yet known.
The roadway was blocked in several eastbound lanes of traffic as police worked to clear the scene.
