Philadelphia, PA (June 5, 2023) – Multiple people were hurt in a multi-car accident in South Philadelphia on Monday morning, June 5.
The incident occurred around 6:10 a.m. on Monday near the intersection of Penrose Avenue and South 26th Street. Fire officials reported that one of the crashed cars caught fire. News footage showed that the road was covered with foam used to douse the fires.
The area was completely closed off for a few hours while personnel tried to clean up the incident. EMTs were also spotted at the scene, but the total number of victims hospitalized remains unknown.
An investigation is still ongoing in the interim.
