Philadelphia, PA (January 22, 2022) – One person was injured in a house fire that took place close to a high school in Philadelphia on Saturday night, January 22.
According to Philadelphia officials, the incident happened around 7:15 p.m. on Jeanes Street near the George Washington High School. Fire crews were immediately called to the scene when witnesses saw flames and smoke pouring out of the home. When they arrived at the home, they quickly acted to bring the fire under control.
Paramedics and numerous other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One person, who has not yet been identified, was injured in the accident. The injured party was rushed to the hospital for treatment of unknown injuries.
The area was blocked off around the home for an extended period of time until fire crews were able to clear the fire.
The investigation into the circumstances of the fire continues at this time.
