Pedestrian Accident Fatalities in Greater Philadelphia
In the United States, pedestrians face a much higher risk of injury or death when walking on the roads and sidewalks than those riding in cars. Philadelphia and Pittsburgh are two prime examples. Such instances are more likely to take place in highly populated areas of the Commonwealth, where there is a lot of foot movement. More than 140 pedestrians were killed in traffic accidents in Pennsylvania in 2020, according to official estimates and traffic experts.
