Philadelphia, PA (January 28, 2022) – Injuries were reported in a tractor-trailer collision that took place on a Philadelphia highway on Friday, January 28.
According to Philadelphia Police, the accident happened at 7:53 a.m. in the northbound lanes of I-95 around the area of Academy Road. A tractor-trailer was traveling in the area when it suddenly collided with one or more passenger vehicles on the highway in the area. The vehicles involved in the accident were extensively damaged as a result.
Several responders, including paramedics and fire crews, were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims sustained injuries as a result of the accident. The injured parties were taken to local hospitals for treatment of unknown injuries.
Due to the severity of the collision, a large portion of the roadway was blocked for a period of time. Police quickly worked to clear the scene.
