Bicycle Accidents in New Jersey

Bicycle accidents do not happen as commonly as other accidents on New Jersey roads. However, when they do occur, they tend to be incredibly severe. This is due to the fact that bicyclists have no protection from harm in the event of an accident involving any type of vehicle. Between 2001 and 2011, it was reported that approximately 19,551 bicycle accidents took place in New Jersey, with approximately 81 people losing their lives. Children are most likely to become seriously injured or killed in an accident. This is due to the fact that they are not always aware of the dangers on our roads.
