Salem County, NJ (June 7, 2023) – According to New Jersey State Police, a man from Salem County was killed Tuesday afternoon after his car was hit by another vehicle as he was leaving a driveway.
Police say that before 3:00 p.m., an SUV going east on Garden Road collided with a vehicle driven by a 71-year-old Pittsgrove man as he exited a property at Crow Pond Road in the township.
Officers said the man died at the scene, while the second driver, a 39-year-old Millville resident, escaped with minor wounds.
Authorities took roughly five hours to reopen the road as they conducted their on-scene investigation. In the interim, the police have not yet issued any charges related to the collision but are still looking into it.
Our thoughts are extended to the injured victims and their families. We hope for their full recovery.
