According to Philadelphia Police Department inquiries, the collision occurred on the eastbound lanes of Interstate 76 near Exit 341 to Montgomery Drive and South Street. Several first responders, including paramedics, firefighters, and others, were sent to the scene to assist any and all wounded people. No information is known on the severity of injuries or the current condition of the injured parties, however.
Investigations into the specifics of what caused the wreck continue. Anyone who saw or knows anything about the incident should call the PPD immediately.
Our thoughts are with the injured victims and their loved ones.
