Allentown, NJ (March 2, 2022) – On Wednesday afternoon, March 2, a serious motorcycle accident led to injuries at an Allentown intersection.
New Jersey State Police officials confirmed that the crash happened at 4:20 p.m. at the intersection of CR-524 and CR-43. Police confirmed that a 60-year-old man was operating a Honda motorcycle and traveling eastbound at the intersection. The driver entered the intersection, when his motorcycle was struck by a Toyota Rav4. The accident led to extensive damages to both vehicles.
Several responders, including Hope Fire Company and Capital Health Paramedics, were dispatched to the scene to help. The motorcyclist was rushed to Capital Health Regional Medical Center for treatment of life-threatening injuries. His current condition is not yet known. The other driver was not hurt in the collision.
Due to the severity of the collision, the roadway was blocked in almost all lanes at the intersection for some time.
No further details have been released but the investigation remains ongoing. Police will update with more information as it is available.
