35-year-old married male was a driver involved in an inter-sectional accident with defendant. Defendant alleged that plaintiff ran through a stop sign. Plaintiff sustained multiple injuries including herniated discs, nerve damage requiring surgery. Because of said injuries, plaintiff was disabled. No offer was initially made then an offer of $5,000 was rejected.
The Result: Jury verdict in favor of plaintiff and against defendant in the amount of $2,700,000.00.
36-year-old male chef was a passenger in rear cargo area of Defendant’s truck. While plaintiff was attempting to exit the vehicle, defendant negligently moved the truck causing plaintiff to slip and fall backwards out of the truck. 41 year old male passenger in a work vehicle that was rear-ended [shortly after being involved in a one car accident due to slippery road conditions while he was operating another work vehicle]. Plaintiff suffered traumatic facet fracture with spinal cord injury and traumatic spondylolisthesis of the thoracic spine resulting in surgery as well as lumbar herniations, lumbar radiculopathy and impotence.
The Result: Settled for a total of $809,285.00 which included the $15,000.00 policy limits from the defendant’s insurance company and $794,285.00 from the employer’s underinsured motorist carrier.
37 year old male operating a work vehicle that was rear-ended. Plaintiff suffered herniated discs and radiculopathy to the cervical spine and lumbosacral spine.
The Result: Settled for a total of $245,000.00 which included the $15,000.00 policy limits from the defendant’s insurance company and $230,000.00 from the employer’s underinsured motorist carrier.
23 year old male operating a work vehicle that was rear-ended by an uninsured motorist. Plaintiff suffered herniated discs and radiculopathy to the cervical spine.
The Result: The employer’s uninsured motorist carrier tendered the policy limits of $350,000.00 to settle two claims of which plaintiff received $205,000.00.
9 year old male was using the moon bounce at a block party when an uninsured motorist, who was convicted of DUI among other charges, drove through the block party and struck the moon bounce. Plaintiff suffered liver laceration, right scapular fracture, left fourth & fifth phalanx fractures, left sacral ala fracture, bilateral pubic rami fractures and rib fractures.
The Result: Settled for $230,000.00 which included the $200,000.00 policy limits from his step-mother’s uninsured motorist carrier and $30,000.00, rather than the $15,000.00 policy limits, from his grandparent’s uninsured motorist carrier.
34 year old male rear-ended on I-95. Plaintiff suffered Bell’s Palsy, right facial weakness, hearing loss, tinnitus, vertigo sensations, left facial numbness and cervical disc protrusion.
The Result: The case proceeded to binding high/low arbitration and an award in the amount of $300,000.00 was issued by the sole arbitrator.
47 year old male was working at the airport when his vehicle was struck by an airline vehicle. Plaintiff sustained serious shoulder injury requiring surgery. Plaintiff was out of work and had difficulty with basic necessities of life.

32 year old male was involved in an intersectional motor vehicle accident. Plaintiff had an extensive criminal background, but was alleging the defendant was at fault in causing the accident by running a red light. 38-year-old female had to jump from the 3rd floor of a burning building to the sidewalk. Plaintiff’s counsel was able to establish that the fire was caused by faulty wiring caused by improper maintenance. Injuries included fractures of her back, hip and thigh and a permanent disability. There was no offer made before trial and an offer of $250,000.00 was made at beginning of trial.
The Result: Jury verdict for plaintiff in amount of $6,600,000.00.
42-year-old female fell from steps on side of defendant’s house because of a defective handrail causing multiple disc herniations in her neck and back and partial tear in her shoulder. No offer before trial and $20,000 offer made at beginning of trial. Defendant argued that plaintiff could not prove the steps were defective.
The Result: Jury verdict for plaintiff in amount of $175,000.00.
79-year-old female was legally on defendant’s business premises when automatic doors were caused to swing open due to negligent maintenance injuring plaintiff. Plaintiff sustained significant injuries including a broken hip.
The Result: Case settled for $115,000.00.
44-year-old female was a patron of defendant’s business when she slipped and fell on a wet floor. As a result, plaintiff sustained injuries including a tear in her knee and shoulder as well as neck and back injuries. At settlement conference, Judge recommended settlement range of $75,000 to $100,000.00.
The Result: plaintiff obtained $105,000.00 settlement.
61-year-old male slipped and fell on icy steps leading up to the building that he rented from defendant. As a result of the fall, plaintiff sustained a collarbone fracture and a herniated disc. Defendant argued that the plaintiff knew of the condition of the steps before the accident and should have avoided the ice. No offer made.
The Result: Jury verdict in favor of plaintiff for $80,500.00.
Plaintiff, a 45-year-old postal worker, was out delivering mail when she slipped and fell on a customer’s property due to snow and ice negligently allowed to remain on the property. Because of this fall, plaintiff sustained a broken ankle that required surgery and forced her to miss two months from work. Defendant challenged liability arguing that plaintiff could not prove that the walkway was negligently maintained.
The Result: Case settled for $75,000.00.
45 year old male fell off of the porch of the building he was living in due to the negligent maintenance of the property by the property’s owner. Plaintiff suffered a lacerated spleen resulting in surgery and blood clots resulting in surgery as well injuries to the back, shoulder and knee.
