Allentown, PA (May 19, 2022) – On Thursday night, May 19, a handful of victims were reportedly injured in a wreck reported by Allentown Police on the Pennsylvania Turnpike.
According to early information provided by the police in Allentown, the incident took place on the Pennsylvania Turnpike in the southbound lanes at Exit 56, which leads to Lehigh Valley International.
There were at least two vehicles moving through the area when they were involved in a collision in the right lanes, though the reasons for the collision are unclear. At 11:00 p.m. in the evening, emergency medical personnel and fire rescue units from Allentown worked to assist those involved and clear the scene.
As a direct result of the wreck, both cars had significant damage, and the emergency medical technicians who responded to the site reported minor to moderate injuries to one or two victims.
There have been no new findings in the case, but the investigation into the underlying cause for the accident is still ongoing.
Our thoughts and wishes for a full recovery are with the injured victims and their families.
