Barnegat Township, NJ (November 16, 2023) – New Jersey State Police responded to the scene when a car and a school bus were involved in an accident in Ocean County on Tuesday, November 14th. The incident took place at about 3:00 p.m. in the southbound lanes of the Garden State Parkway, near milepost 68 in Barnegat Township.
Following the collision, the school bus overturned and came to an uncontrolled stop on its driver’s side. Both vehicles had to be towed from the scene.
Officials said six people sustained non-life-threatening injuries, including the bus driver, a student aide, three students, and one of the car’s occupants as well.
This accident remains under investigation. The cause has not yet been determined.
