Bensalem, PA (January 18, 2023) – Several drivers and passengers were reportedly wounded in a two-vehicle incident that occurred on a highway in the Bensalem area on Wednesday evening.
According to the Bensalem Police Department, the incident occurred in the northbound lanes of Interstate 95 at Exit 37 to State Route 132 and Street Road at around 10:05 p.m.
It is unknown what caused the incident, but both vehicles were so severely damaged that they had to be removed from the scene by a tow truck.
Numerous emergency responders, including Bensalem Fire and EMS units, rushed to the site of the collision. It seems that two or three people were injured and transported to nearby hospitals, but the police have verified neither their identities nor the extent of their injuries.
The police inspected the accident area for more than an hour, creating a traffic bottleneck. As part of their inquiry, officials in Bensalem and Philadelphia are now studying the collision’s causes.
Our thoughts are extended to the injured victims and their loved ones.
