Cape May, NJ (April 20, 2022) – Injuries were reported in a four-vehicle crash that took place at an intersection in Cape May on Tuesday afternoon, April 19.
According to local officials, the accident happened at 3:42 p.m. at the intersection of Seashore Road and Lincoln Boulevard. Police confirmed that four vehicles were entering the intersection when they collided with each other due to reasons that are not yet known.
Photographs taken at the scene showed a black Toyota 4Runner SUV with severe front-end damage and several other damaged vehicles off to the side. Police confirmed that the driver of the 4Runner did not yield to traffic, which led to the collision.
Several local responders, including paramedics and fire crews, were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. Four people in total sustained injuries in the collision. The injured parties were taken to local hospitals for treatment, though their conditions are not yet known.
The roadway was blocked in the area of the intersection for a period of time. Police quickly worked to clear the scene so traffic could return to normal.
