Clifton Heights, PA (April 28, 2022) – Fire crews were called to a house fire that injured a firefighters on Thursday morning, April 28, in Clifton Heights.
According to Delaware County officials, the incident took place at a duplex on South Diamond Street. Fire crews were called to the scene in the early morning hours where they found that the duplex was engulfed in flames. The community believed that there was a family inside the home but, when they made entrance, they found that it was empty.
Paramedics and several other responders were dispatched to the scene. One of the firefighters who entered the home sustained injuries as a result of the fire. He was hospitalized, though he is expected to be okay.
The area was blocked off in the area as fire crews brought the fire under control. Police and crews claim that the homes involved were a total loss.
The investigation into the circumstances of the fire continues.
