Galloway Township, NJ (July 30, 2025) – A pedestrian is in critical condition after being hit by a vehicle in Galloway Township late Tuesday night, July 29, according to local authorities.
Galloway Township Police said that, at about 11:10 p.m., they were called to the area of South Pomona Road and Langley Avenue for a report of a person lying in the roadway.
At the scene, they found a man in the southbound lane of South Pomona Road, unconscious and unresponsive. Police say their preliminary investigation showed that a driver was traveling southbound in the outside lane of Pomona when he struck the pedestrian, who was walking westbound toward Langley.
The pedestrian was taken to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center-City Division, where he is listed as critical. The road was closed for about two hours while the accident was being investigated. It’s unclear if citations or charges are pending, but the investigation into the collision is ongoing. Witnesses have been asked to step forward in the meantime.
Our thoughts remain with the injured victim and his loved ones at this time. We hope for his full and fast recovery.
