Gladwyne, PA (January 24, 2022) – On Monday morning, January 24, a car accident with injuries took place on a highway in Gladwyne.
According to Gladwyne officials, the accident happened around 7:30 a.m. in the westbound lanes of I-76 around the area of Roosevelt Boulevard. Two or more vehicles were traveling in the westbound lanes of the highway when one or more lost control, causing the vehicles to collide with each other. The involved vehicles were badly damaged and had to be removed from the scene by tow trucks.
Several responders, including paramedics and fire crews, were called to the scene to help those with injuries. Emergency crews were seen loading patients in the back of ambulances. The parties were hospitalized, though their conditions are not yet known.
The roadway was blocked in the westbound lanes all the way back to Roosevelt Boulevard. Police quickly worked to clear the scene.
