Horsham, PA (May 17, 2022) – On the early evening of Tuesday, May 17, a number of injuries in a major multiple-vehicle collision were documented by Horsham Township-area Police following their dispatch to a busy area intersection.
The preliminary information that has been released by the authorities indicates that the incident occurred on the northbound-southbound portion of Lower State Road, close to the Welsh Road/Route 63 intersection.
Accident investigators have not been successful in identifying what caused the accident, though they did report that two drivers reportedly collided in a rear-end event in the right lanes, as noted by Montco CAD. Medical personnel from Horsham emergency services treated an array of patients who had sustained injuries ranging from minor to moderate, but it’s unclear if they transferred any persons to a local medical facility.
At around 5:25 p.m., authorities were still working to gather evidence and aid people who were in need of assistance. The investigation into the incident continues.
Our thoughts are with the people who were hurt and their families, and we are hoping that they will make a complete recovery.
