Juniata County, PA (June 12, 2025) – Crews responded to a multi-vehicle crash involving a bear in Juniata County on Wednesday night, June 11.
According to the Mifflintown Hose Company, crews responded to Route 322 westbound in a construction zone in Fermanagh Township for a multi-vehicle crash with an injury around 10:00 p.m. Firefighters said a vehicle struck a bear before it was struck by a vehicle behind it. The driver of the first vehicle was transported to a local hospital with injuries. At this time, however, no further details were made available, though an investigation is still ongoing. Witnesses were asked to contact officers right away in the interim.
