Lansdale, PA (January 29, 2022) – Injuries were reported in a pedestrian crash that took place in Lansdale on Wednesday evening, January 26.
Police confirmed that the accident happened at 5:40 p.m. at 700 East Main Street in front of the Wissahickon Park Apartment complex. A pedestrian was walking in the area when they were suddenly struck by a blue Hyundai Sonata. The driver of the vehicle fled west without stopping to check on the pedestrian.
Numerous responders, including paramedics and fire crews, were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. The pedestrian, who was the only person who sustained injuries, was taken to the hospital for treatment. Their condition is not known at this time.
The roadway was blocked in the area for an extended period of time as police worked to clear the scene. Police did not say if the driver who is responsible for the accident was caught.
