Mahwah, NJ (June 10, 2025) – A 19-year-old Oakland man died after a car accident on Route 287 in Mahwah on Tuesday, June 10, New Jersey State Police said.
The incident took place on Route 287 near milepost 65.4 around 7:15 a.m., police said, but what led up to the crash is unknown. One of the victims involved was taken to a nearby hospital but died from his injuries, police stated.
The northbound side of Route 287 was closed for several hours. It’s unclear if anybody else was hurt, but the crash remains under investigation. Witnesses have been asked to step forward in the meantime.
