Palmer Township, PA (September 25, 2025) – A serious crash in Palmer Township left two people in critical condition early Thursday morning, September 25.
Township police said the accident occurred around 5:11 a.m. on the Main Street/Route 33 north exit ramp. Responding officers found an SUV that had collided with a tractor-trailer and had become lodged underneath the larger vehicle.
Emergency crews worked quickly to rescue the SUV’s occupants. The crash critically injured the driver and one passenger, and paramedics transported them to a nearby hospital. They also took two additional passengers from the SUV to a local hospital for evaluation. Authorities confirmed that the tractor-trailer driver did not sustain injuries in the crash.
The collision tied up traffic during the morning commute as police closed portions of the roadway to investigate.
Crews are continuing their investigation into what led to the wreck.
Our thoughts are with the injured victims, and we hope for their full recovery.
Truck Accidents in Pennsylvania
Crashes involving passenger vehicles and tractor-trailers often result in severe injuries because of the size and weight difference between the vehicles. Highways and exit ramps are especially dangerous locations for truck collisions due to heavy traffic and merging lanes.
Victims of serious truck crashes often face long hospital stays, rehabilitation, and financial stress. With the help of an experienced truck accident attorney in Pennsylvania, injured individuals can pursue compensation for their losses and begin rebuilding their lives.
Compensation may include:
- Medical costs – Coverage for surgeries, hospital care, therapy, and future treatment needs. Victims of truck accidents often face ongoing medical appointments, prescription costs, and specialist care that can last months or years. Without compensation, these expenses quickly overwhelm families already struggling with the emotional toll of the crash.
- Lost wages – Payment for time away from work and reduced earning capacity caused by lasting injuries. Many truck accident victims cannot return to their jobs immediately, and some may never return to the same line of work. Compensation ensures that families can stay financially stable while victims focus on recovery.
- Pain and suffering – Recognition of the physical and emotional hardships caused by a violent crash. Beyond broken bones and visible injuries, victims often deal with anxiety, depression, and post-traumatic stress. Legal claims help acknowledge these invisible struggles and provide support for counseling or therapy.
- Property damage – Repairs or replacement for vehicles destroyed in collisions with large trucks. Victims may also lose valuable personal property inside the vehicle, such as electronics, tools, or work equipment. Compensation can help replace these losses and ease the burden of starting over after a devastating accident.
Because multiple parties may be responsible in a truck crash—such as the driver, trucking company, or even a maintenance contractor—it is important to work with a knowledgeable lawyer. An attorney can investigate the crash, gather evidence, and hold all liable parties accountable.
