Penn Township, PA (August 26, 2023) – On Tuesday, a collision in Lancaster County claimed the life of a woman and injured several others.
The incident occurred on West 28th Division Highway (SR 322) in Penn Township, close to the county boundary with Lebanon, at about 2:30 p.m., according to the Northern Lancaster Regional Police.
A car, a business van, and a tractor-trailer were all involved in the crash. According to early reports, arriving coroner investigators found a 41-year-old woman, who was later declared dead at the scene, in the front passenger seat of one of the vehicles. Multiple traumatic injuries were judged to be the cause of death.
The other injured victims were transported to a local hospital, though their current conditions are unknown. Officers are continuing to investigate the crash in the interim.
