Philadelphia, PA (June 24, 2023) – On Wednesday night, June 21, in Philadelphia’s Juniata Park region, a deadly hit-and-run accident occurred, prompting police to investigate.
The accident took place, according to authorities, just before 5:30 p.m. A motorcyclist was apparently heading west on Luzerne Street as another vehicle was turning right from Claridge Street and heading south.
The vehicle collided with the motorcyclist before fleeing the scene. The male biker suffered critical injuries and was sent to Temple University Hospital. Authorities claim he passed away soon thereafter.
Officials say they’ve identified the driver, who was behind the wheel of a 2012 Chrysler 200 at the time of the incident, but they are working to locate the suspect.
Police in Philadelphia are asking anybody who saw the collision to contact them.
Our deepest condolences are with the deceased man’s loved ones.
