Philadelphia, PA (March 27, 2022) – On Sunday afternoon, March 27, one person was injured in a serious house fire in Philadelphia.

According to Philadelphia officials, the incident took place around 2:30 p.m. on West Rush Street. A large fire allegedly broke out in the afternoon hours in a home that spread to several other rowhomes that were attached to it. Fire crews started to fight the fire, which engulfed the homes in smoke and flames.

Paramedics, fire crews, and several other responders were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One person, who has not been identified, sustained burn injuries in the incident. They were taken to Temple University Hospital for treatment, though their current condition is not yet known.

The area was blocked for an extended period of time as fire crews brought the fire under control. It took them about a half an hour to bring it completely under control.
