Philadelphia, PA (February 2, 2023) – Just after 6:30 p.m., during the early evening hours of Thursday, February 2, a multiple-vehicle accident that resulted in potentially serious injuries took place in the greater Philadelphia area.
According to the investigation by the Philadelphia Police Department, the incident occurred on westbound Interstate 76, not far from Exit 346, toward Montgomery Drive and South Street. For reasons that are yet unknown, two cars collided when one of them swerved to the right before the South Street exit, badly damaging both vehicles and injuring at least one person.
A number of emergency workers, including medics and firefighters, were sent to the scene around 6:45 p.m. However, it is unclear how many people were injured or how severe their injuries were.
The PPD is continuing its investigation into the collision and is now looking for witnesses.
