Philadelphia, PA (March 15, 2022) – Around 4:30 a.m. on Monday morning, March 14, a three-vehicle collision took place at an intersection in Philadelphia.
According to Philadelphia Police, the accident happened at the intersection of 63rd Street and Lindbergh Boulevard. Police confirmed that two vehicles were traveling in the area when they entered the intersection at the same time, forcefully colliding with each other and then striking a third vehicle. The involved vehicles sustained extensive damages and had to be towed from the scene.
Several responders, including paramedics and fire crews, were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. Several parties were trapped in their vehicles and had to be extricated by fire crews. A total of six people sustained injuries in the accident. One of the victims was identified as a 2-year-old child, who sustained bruises in the collision. Most of the injuries included head and neck injuries. The injured parties were taken to local hospitals for treatment but all are expected to recover.
The roadway was blocked at the intersection for several hours as police worked to clear the scene.
No further details have been released but the investigation continues.
