Philadelphia, PA (June 27, 2023) – A two-car collision in Philadelphia’s Somerton region occurred on Tuesday evening, June 27, and injured three children.
The incident occurred near the corner of Roosevelt Boulevard and Southampton Road at approximately 6:00 p.m.
Officers with the Philadelphia Police Department say that a 7-year-old girl was reportedly thrown from one of the vehicles; she was sent to Jefferson Torresdale Hospital in critical condition. Two other girls, ages 4 and 11, were also taken to the hospital but are expected to recover.
Another victim, a 32-year-old male, suffered minor injuries.
As of now, police haven’t released further details about what led to the accident. An active investigation continues in the meantime.
