Philadelphia, PA (October 22, 2023) –A 24-year-old woman was killed after she was involved in a multiple-vehicle collision that blocked all lanes of I-676 early Sunday morning, October 22.
The accident occurred on westbound I-676 just after 4:00 a.m. on Sunday. One of the vehicles was obstructing the left lane of westbound I-676 at the 5-mile marker after sustaining damage in a prior collision.
Another vehicle traveling in the left lane hit the vehicle, causing a chain-reaction crash that resulted in the woman’s death.
At roughly 9:00 a.m., all of the lanes of I-676 had re-opened again, but authorities are still investigating the circumstances of the crash in the meantime. It’s unclear if any other victims were hurt in the incident.
