Princeton, NJ (April 26, 2022) – Around 3 p.m. on Tuesday afternoon, April 26, a pedestrian accident with serious injuries took place at an intersection in Princeton.
According to Mercer County officials, the accident happened at the intersection of Washington Road and Faculty Road. A pedestrian was walking in the area when they allegedly started to cross the road at the intersection. This is when they were struck by a passenger vehicle. It is believed that the driver that struck the pedestrian remained at the scene.
Several local responders, including paramedics and fire crews, were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. The pedestrian, who has not yet been formally identified, was seriously injured in the accident. The injured party was rushed to the hospital for treatment, though their condition is not yet known.
The roadway was blocked in the area of the intersection for an extended period of time. This led to massive delays in the area until the scene was cleared.
No further details have been released but the investigation continues. Police will update with more information as it is available.
Our thoughts are with the injured victim and their family in hopes of a full recovery.
