Schwenksville, PA (March 18, 2022) – Police confirmed that a child was injured in a pedestrian accident that took place in Schwenksville.
According to police, the accident happened around 3:30 p.m. on Friday, March 18, at 4000 Skippack Pike. An unidentified juvenile was crossing the roadway in the area when they were suddenly struck by an ambulance that was traveling through the area. It is not known if the ambulance had its lights and sirens on at the time but the driver remained at the scene.
Several responders were present at the scene to help the child. The juvenile sustained serious injuries as a result of the accident. They were taken to the hospital for treatment of their injuries, though their current condition is not yet known.
The roadway was blocked in the area of the accident for an extended period of time. Police quickly worked to clear the scene.
