Springfield Township, NJ (May 9, 2024) – Two people were airlifted to the hospital after a crash that involved two cars and a tractor-trailer in Burlington County on Wednesday morning, May 8.
The crash happened around 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the intersection of Route 206 and Jacksonville Jobstown Road. According to the Burlington County Prosecutor’s Office, a man driving a white Jeep was going southbound on Route 206 when he veered from his lane, overcorrected, and then struck a Nissan ahead of the juncture. The semi-truck was the third vehicle involved in the apparent chain-reaction collision.
The woman driving the Nissan was flown to Capital Health in Trenton. Witnesses nearby said they saw responders cut her vehicle open to extricate and rescue her. The other driver was flown to Cooper University Hospital in Camden, though the truck driver’s condition is unknown. No further details were released, but Burlington County authorities are still investigating.
Our thoughts are extended to the injured victims and their families in hopes of their full recovery.
