Steelton, PA (May 5, 2023) – Two people died, and one other person sustained serious injuries following a major vehicle crash in the Dauphin County area on Wednesday afternoon, May 3.
The Dauphin County Accident Reconstruction Team and the Steelton Police Department responded to the incident at around 3:00 p.m. The crash reportedly occurred at the corner of South Front Street and T Street. Steelton Mayor Ciera Dent added that all neighboring roads were blocked.
An unidentified man, a passenger in one of the vehicles, suffered several traumatic injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The coroner’s office stated that another victim, a Middletown woman who had been taken to Hershey Medical Center, died of her injuries the next day.
One other victim remains hospitalized in serious condition.
The events immediately preceding the wreck are unknown, though officers continue to investigate the accident at this time. Witnesses with additional information were asked to step forward as soon as possible.
