Matthew W. Powell, Esq.

Matthew W. Powell is an associate at Spear Greenfield, where he focuses his practice on representing clients in personal injury matters. He brings a well-rounded litigation background, having previously gained extensive experience in civil litigation representing insurance companies and their policyholders in insurance defense cases. His work has involved a broad range of matters, including premises liability, motor vehicle accidents, general liability, construction defects, and professional liability claims.
Matt earned his Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Delaware, where he also participated in a youth street outreach program in Wilmington, Delaware. He went on to attend American University Washington College of Law, where he provided legal support to low-income housing cooperatives and nonprofit organizations through the Community and Economic Development Law Clinic, focusing on business law matters.
