Bechtelsville, PA (April 10, 2022) – One person was injured in a serious car accident that took place on a major roadway in Bechtelsville on Saturday night, April 9.
According to local officials, the accident happened in the northbound lanes of PA-100 around the area of Passmore Road. A 48-year-old woman was headed north in the area when she started to make a turn in her vehicle. Her SUV collided with an oncoming vehicle that was operated by a 23-year-old man. The vehicles sustained serious damages in the collision.
Several local responders, including paramedics and fire crews, were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. A passenger in the first vehicle, identified as a 21-year-old woman, was injured in the crash. She was rushed to Lehigh Valley Hospital for treatment of her injuries. Her condition is not yet known.
The roadway was blocked in the area for an extended period of time as police worked to clear the scene. This led to delays in the area for some time.
