East Brunswick, NJ (August 27, 2024) – A 40-year-old man reportedly died in the crash on Interstate 95 northbound in East Brunswick on August 24, a state police spokesperson said.
Investigators said a Chevrolet Impala driven by the man was in a car crash on the southbound inner side of the turnpike. The man then got out of the car to assess the damage and was struck by an oncoming Peterbilt tractor-trailer shortly thereafter. The man was pronounced dead at the site, but troopers said the crash remained under investigation. In the interim, officers asked any witnesses to come forward right away.
